Militair Arsenaal

Second attempt to get in the Military Hospital but thanks to some barbwire and lots of people walking around we couldn't get any further than the "Arsenaal" right next to it . Some parts of the buildings were used as work spaces for an art school but the parts they didn't use were in very bad condition . The walls were covererd with greenery and everything was heavily trashed.
Some halls on the domain are used by " De Voedselbank" a company that has some very friendly employees .

Het Zegel

Second building on the list ... And it was a very interesting building once again . The light in this building was amazing it was very special and beautifull light at some places in the building . What also was uuuhrm... interesting? was how many dead (and living) pigeons we saw in this building everywhere we looked we saw one or more dead pigeons I believe we must have seen about 60 dead pigeons after a while we even stopped paying attention to it .... We stayed in this building quite a long time and really enjoyed it overthere the only reasons we wanted to go out was because it was slowly getting dark outside and we were all getting a bit tired... We all had an awesome day and we thank the sun for shining so hard that day the weather was awesome..

These buildings were built in 1836. In the beginning it was a candle making factory but this soon went bankrupt and in 1843 the train company bought it to use it as a storehouse... In 1868 it was sold to the mail company and that is when the buildings became " Het zegel" . Back in the days it was the first and only stamp factory for many years and they kept on using the building till they moved out in 1993 and left the buildings abandoned.

RTT Mechelen

We left here in Mol planning we would go to the Miltary Hospital in Antwerp but through some circumstances we couldn't get in there.... So we decided to go elsewhere and we went to Mechelen. We had a new man on board who listens to the heavenly name Mathias ( also known as Patsie)

First building we explored was the RTT/Belgacom building . It was a lot bigger as we expected but the biggest part of the building was allready stripped and almost everything we saw were big empty halls . But still it was worth the exploring and we had a real nice skyline sight of mechelen standing up on the roof of the building.
